Bank of Japan to test blockchain-based reserve settlement
New Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda announced the launch of a pilot project to use blockchain for settlements with the central bank. According to him, a 'sandbox' is now underway to test whether central bank money can operate in blockchain-based systems.
