New DeFi Lobbying Group in the US
Hyperliquid, a company developing decentralized finance (DeFi) tools, has announced the creation of the Hyperliquid Policy Center - a new lobbying group aimed at promoting the interests of the DeFi industry in US political circles.
According to Hyperliquid CEO Jake Chervinsky, $29 million in Hyperliquid tokens has been allocated to launch this initiative, which speaks to the company's serious intentions to influence the regulation of the cryptocurrency industry in the country.
The main idea of the Hyperliquid Policy Center is that markets are rapidly migrating to the blockchain, and if the US does not adopt new rules, it risks falling seriously behind in this process. According to Chervinsky, it is urgently necessary to develop a new regulatory framework that will meet the realities of the evolving cryptocurrency market.
Experts from our publication believe that the creation of such a powerful lobbying group can indeed accelerate the process of cryptocurrency regulation in the US. This is important not only for the development of the DeFi industry, but for the entire cryptocurrency market as a whole. Lagging behind in this issue fraught with missed opportunities and loss of competitiveness of American financial institutions.
