New functionality for AI agent identification

The World platform, founded with the participation of the well-known entrepreneur Sam Altman, has released an update that allows verified platform users to delegate their personal data (World ID identifiers) to various AI agents. This also applies to bots operating on the x402 protocol from the Coinbase cryptocurrency exchange.

This functionality, called AgentKit, is designed to solve the problem of identifying AI agents in the Web3 and DeFi ecosystems. After all, users often have to interact with bots or software algorithms without knowing their real identity or source. AgentKit will allow to attach personal responsibility for the actions of such agents by linking them to verified user accounts.

Thus, the World platform seeks to increase user confidence in AI assistants and automated services in the decentralized web, especially in the field of financial applications, where issues of identification and responsibility are critical.

Expert opinion

The development of identification tools for AI agents in Web3 is indeed an important task. Too often, users are faced with bots or algorithmic assistants whose behavior is difficult to predict or control. Linking such agents to verified identities can be a solution that increases user trust and reduces the risks of fraud or abuse.

At the same time, it is necessary to take into account that excessive regulation can limit the potential for the development of AI technologies in the decentralized web. Therefore, it is important to find a balance between ensuring identification, accountability, and freedom of innovation.
