Nasdaq and Boerse Stuttgart to advance tokenized settlement in Europe
The largest North American exchange group Nasdaq announced a partnership with the German stock exchange Boerse Stuttgart, one of the leading stock exchanges in Europe. The joint initiative aims to integrate the Seturion blockchain platform, developed by Boerse Stuttgart, with Nasdaq's trading venues in Europe.
Seturion is a blockchain platform for the issuance, circulation and settlement of various types of digital assets. The partnership will allow connecting Nasdaq's European trading platforms to this system and offer customers new opportunities for tokenized settlement.
This initiative is another step for Nasdaq in implementing advanced technologies in the traditional stock exchange. The company has previously integrated blockchain-based solutions for corporate actions management and customer identification. The partnership with Boerse Stuttgart also demonstrates the growing interest of major financial market players in blockchain technology and asset tokenization.
According to experts, such integrations open up new opportunities for institutional investors, allowing them to more efficiently manage digital assets and make settlements. In addition, the transition to tokenized instruments can increase transparency, liquidity and speed of financial transactions.
