Why is it important to break free from the 'data prison'?

Modern companies accumulate huge amounts of data about their customers - from information about their website behavior to purchase history. However, often this data is fragmented and stored in various departments, which does not allow to get a unified picture of the user and make informed marketing decisions.

This situation has been called the 'data prison' - a situation where the company is essentially 'imprisoned' in its own data and cannot efficiently manage it. This can be overcome by focusing on improving operating models and corporate culture, not just technological solutions.

How to create a 'roadmap' to unified customer insights?

1. Eliminate information 'silos'. Establish data exchange between marketing, sales, customer service and other departments. This will provide a holistic view of consumer behavior.

2. Implement a unified data management system. Choose a platform that will aggregate all the necessary information in one place and provide convenient access to it.

3. Foster a culture of data-driven decision making. Train employees to work with analytics and involve them in the process of extracting customer insights.

By implementing these steps, a company can break out of the 'data prison' and gain the ability to make more informed marketing decisions.
