Improving infrastructure for tokenized asset trading

The Nasdaq stock exchange and the German Boerse Stuttgart Group have announced a strategic partnership aimed at developing infrastructure for trading and settlement of tokenized securities in Europe. The main goal of the deal is to reduce fragmentation in European financial markets by introducing blockchain technologies into the settlement process.

The partnership involves integrating the Seturion platform for trading and settlement of tokenized securities from Boerse Stuttgart Digital Exchange (BSDEX) with the Nasdaq ecosystem. This will allow investors and issuers of securities to access highly liquid secondary markets in different European countries through a single digital infrastructure.

Experts positively assess this initiative, noting that it will help overcome the limitations inherent in traditional settlement schemes and create new opportunities for the tokenized asset market in Europe. The development of this direction will also contribute to the overall digitalization of the financial industry.
