Phishing attack targets OpenClaw developers
According to security researchers, attackers are actively using phishing schemes to target developers of the cryptocurrency project OpenClaw. Hackers have created fake pages on GitHub, posing as the official OpenClaw team, and are offering users free CLAW token airdrops.
The goal of this scheme is to get developers to connect their crypto wallets to the phishing resources in order to gain access to their funds. Such phishing campaigns are often accompanied by the creation of fake websites mimicking the official project resources, as well as the distribution of fraudulent notifications in Telegram and other messengers.
Such attacks are becoming an increasingly common phenomenon in the crypto industry. Cybercriminals are actively taking advantage of the growing user interest in new tokens and airdrops to deceive them and gain access to their crypto assets. Experts recommend exercising caution when interacting with any cryptocurrency-related offers and always verifying them on the official project resources.
