Saylor increases Bitcoin investments amid crypto market correction
The Strategy company, led by the well-known crypto enthusiast Michael Saylor, continues to increase its investments in Bitcoin. According to the latest report filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), last week Strategy acquired 2,932 BTC worth $264 million amid a correction in the crypto market.
Thus, the total number of Bitcoins held by Strategy has reached 712,488 BTC, making it one of the largest corporate holders of the first cryptocurrency.
This strategy seems logical against the backdrop of Saylor's constant statements that Bitcoin is the best store of value in turbulent times. It appears that he continues to believe in the long-term potential of the first cryptocurrency and sees no reason to reduce his investments, despite the current price decline.
On the one hand, the aggressive buying of Bitcoins during the market correction shows the confidence of Saylor and his team in the further growth of the cryptocurrency. However, on the other hand, such a strategy is associated with high risks, given the volatility of the crypto market. If the correction turns out to be deeper and more prolonged than expected, the significant investments in Bitcoin could negatively impact Strategy's financial performance.
